Inbox Repair Tool

Does anyone know what this is?
I am running XP and office 2000. In the last month I have lost inbox folders
5 times with errors detected in pst file. It says use the inbox repair tool
but I can only find 'Detect and Repair' under the help tab and that doesn't
fix the problem. Please help.

It is located in the following directory:
Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033

There is a scanpst.exe for personal folders and a scanost
for offline folder files...
I have also found it in the following:
Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033\NT
