inbox repair tool

I get this message when I try to empty my deleted items
folderr, Errors have been dected in the file C:\Documents
and Settings\Administator\Local Settings\Application
Data\Mircrosoft\Outlook.pst\Quit all mail enabled
applications and then use the inbox repair tool. I use
Microsoft 2000 os and can't figure out how to repair this,
and what it means, can anyone help

Close Outlook and any other apps that you have open.. Search for
"outlook.pst" and make a copy named pst.bak (just in case). Search your
computer for the hidden file "scanpst.exe" and run it. Repeat till no
errors found. Open Outlook and test.

No need to make a backup - scanpst.exe automatically does this for you if
you check yes.

Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
