Inbox messages and sub-folders vanished

Hi

I turned on my PC this morning and opened Outlook Express
6 as usual. My machine shut itself down. When I restarted
it and opened Outlook again the messages from my Inbox
(apart from those sent today)and Inbox sub-folders had all
vanished. No other folders seem affected.

What has happened? Can I get my messages back?

Do a search for *.dbx on your computer.

Hmmm. no .dbx files. Anyone else got any suggestions -
it's very strange!

Check for files in the following location

C:\Documents and Settings\<username you log into for win
xp/2000>\Application Data\Microsoft\Identities\
check each folder here. write it down and import the files this way.

What Operating system do you? and have you ever upgraded the operating
system?
