Inbox Formatting Outlook 2007

Emails in my inbox show up without the pictures and formatting associated
with the sent messages. All I see is html code and links.
How do i change this? I wish to see it as the sent email with formatting.
Note: This only occurs on my laptop, the formatting on my desktop is
correct. But, looking at the settings they seem similar

It sounds like your messages get corrupted when receiving the emails then.
Often this is caused by having a virus scanner which integrates with
Outlook. Disable/uninstall this integration and try again.

Sorry it took so long to respond. But I tried disabling the scan and when
that didnt work I uninstalled the antivirus. I use AVG 8.0. But, that still
didn't fix it. Any other suggestions? The general format of the emails
comes up with for example

<http://www.somesite.com/picture.jpg>
<http://www.samesite.com/picture2.jpg>
and it does this throughout the email. So what it seems like to me is that
it isnt contacting the server for some reason to pull the images out. But, I
could be wrong.
