Inbox and Trash switched?

R

Robert

I have a user that has been having issues with his email.
He has one email that has an attachement and he can't open
the email anymore. Well, now that user says that his Inbox
and Trash have swapped functions...

Is this a message store corruption or a user training
issue... The user in question isn't a power user by any
stretch of the imagination, but usually when he screams
it's for a good reason... This latest (I haven't seen what
his issue is yet) scares me... Is the message store for
Exchange that prone to corrupt? This could get ugly
quickly...

Thank you for any assistance...

Have you seen this personally? Any relevant errors on the Exchange server's
event logs?

If he's the only one having these problems, might want to use exmerge on the
Exchange server to export his mailbox to a PST file (it won't export
corrupted items) and delete & recreate his mailbox, then import the PST
file.
