Inactive browser problem

MY IE 6 sp 2 browser goes inactive all the time. While I surf the internet
viewing different web sites, my browser goes inactive after a few seconds. I
then have to use my mouse and click in the web page to continue to view the
page. Can anyone help figure why my browser continues to go inactive on
every web site I visit?

Something is stealing focus from the IE window. Check for malware.
