i was installing new software from a CD image, as an image drive (mapped as G:), and the setup programs says it'll continue installation after the system reboots. alas, the system reboots and i get the blue screen with "... inaccessible boot device ..." error. already tried safe mode, even repaired from CD, neither would make the error go away! my suspicion is that the virtual cd drive (the image drive G:) is no longer available on reboot, and whatever the setup program did, it might have been telling the OS to look for that drive. is this possible? can anyone help me on this one? thanks a bunch!

Hi.

It is more likely that you have a problem with your Harddrive itself or the
software you awere installing wrote to your boot sector and corrupted it.
