while im typing, the typing cursor disapears and I have to click the spot
where im typing to continue.
It seems the windows becomes inactive because the blue border becomes a pale
blue as if the application has moved to the backround.
Anyone have a solution for this?

Is there a reason you wouldn't look in the mouse applet in Control Panel? Esp Pointer Options.

I have been going around and around with DELL re a situation whe
cursor disappears and screen border goes to pale blue until I clic
the left button the mouse. The only solution so far provided is t
Completely reinstall the Operating System and there is no guarante
this will reslove the problem and even if it does there is n
explaination as to why it has happened or how to keep it fro
happening again

If your conjecture about the window becoming inactive is correct, it
could indicate a program running in the background (and not displayed)
is taking the focus away from Word. Examine your running tasks.

Do you have two pointing devices? (mouse pad and USB mouse, etc) Disable one in device manager, and see if the error stops.
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the device, Properties, 'disable this device' checkbox

the same thing is happening to me. when i type, my cursor disappears and i
have to reclick where i was typing to get going again. also sometimes i have
to click twice on the mouse, once to select the window and again to point at
what i wanted. it does it in my browser, in games, everywhere. i looked to
see if there were any other programs running but there aren't, at least that

this "feature" is present in MS Intellipoint. Look in control panel |
mouse, and inspect each tab. look for a check box w/ something like "hide
pointer when typing". some people love this feature....
