I want to make a couple of disk based sites for practice, is it necessary to
get a host company in order to access content and examples for about us,FQAs
and e-commerce web site store examples I'd like to get some practice on
building acouple of web sites as I go through the training also I read chris
maltas e-books and he said I would have to get a paint shop pro programe to
make a logo for my site is this still necessary with frontpage
2003.............. thank you

There is no need for a host if you are using disc based webs. To use an
e-commerce site you will probably need a web server, such as IIS on
Windows XP Pro, since e-commerce usually uses server side scripting
which will not be functional in a disc based web.
