Training Help

Okay. This is going to be a really stupid question, but how do I use MS
training? I just got Frontpage, and I'm really not sure how to use it. I went
to the training page, and there's a little box that says "Create a Web site
with FrontPage," but when I click on it I get another generic training page
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX011217671033.aspx?FB=FX01056259. Can
anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or direct me where to go?? Thanks!

Go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/training/CR061832701033.aspx and
select one of the course. When the next page loads, on the right side
you'll see an embedded "player" read what it says and then click "next" to
go to the next slide.

Liz,
I am also stumped - I can't find any FrontPage training starting from the
reference you gave or from that supplied by David Berry. I note there are
some warnings about some pages only being accessible if you have certain
Microsoft Office programs installed and/or Internet settings. I checked all
mine but I still didn't find anything.

However, you might like to investigate this site
http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp It is a very comprehensive and I think
useful guide to HTML and all scripting languages. This goes further than
using FP, but even though I am new to the scene, I find that getting under
the bonnet (i.e. exploring the actual technical side) can give you better
(or at least more precisely defined) results.

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply, but like Trevor, I'm still not getting any training
choices. When I click on the link that you supplied, I get a page that reads
"Get online training with Office 2003," but there aren't any training
choices, just a bunch of general info about training. I have frontpage
installed on my computer, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas?

Do you have one of the version of MS Office 2003 installed as indicated, this has nothing to do with
having FP2003 installed.

I just tried the link with two PCs, one with FrontPage 2003 and one with
FrontPage 2002 - and got two entirely different pages. The one with
FrontPage 2003 gets a list of available training courses; the one with
FrontPage 2002 gets the page that Liz describes.

I think this is my problem. I have FrontPage 2002. I guess I can only access
the training page with FP 2003. Oh, well. Thanks for the info, Kathleen!
