In Outlook 2003, Opening an attachment which is in Word

Currently in Outlook 2003, if you open an attachment in
Word. Microsoft Word opens the attachment in "Reading
Layout" view.

Is there a way to change this default setting?

In Word, turn off Reading Layout. Tools, Options, General. Uncheck the box
marked "allow starting in Reading Layout"./

Hi Robert,,

Thanks for posting here!

Patricia is correct. You can stop the behavior by disabling the option
"Allow starting in Reading Layout check".
On Word-->Tools-->Options-->General tab, UNCHECK the option "Allow starting
in Reading Layout check"

Test the issue again.
