In Outlook 03 sent messages aren't showing up in my "sent" folder

During the last week, messages I send in Outlook 2003 no longer appear in the
"sent" folder afterwards. My Outlook is up to date, I have checked my
settings, and rebooted the computer.

Any advice ?
 
any rules applied that might be acting on Sent messages?
If you search can you locate any that were sent?
 
make sure that under tools, options, email options the "save copies of
messages in sent items folder" is checked
