In internet options on program tab drop down menu for email is bla

I am using IE 6.0 and outlook express. I cannot set outlook express as my
default email. When I go under the internet options menu on the program tab
the email slot is blank and the drop down menu is empty. I can use outlook
express as my email going through the start menu but not via IE.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
