In-cell dropdown for validation stopped working

I have been using this function for years and now it has stopped working.
The validation setting are all still there, just no in-cell drop down. It
only happens in one worksheet. (of course the one I need it in ;-)

Do you have freezed panes and excel 97? If so that is a known bug

Hi
I had the same issue (using Excel 97). The only workaround at that time:
- copy your data to a new workbook/worksheet
- re-apply the filter/validation rules (you should be able to copy them)

Perhaps you inadvertantly unchecked "in cell dropdown"?

If not, see other posts for possibles.
