In a Word 2003 Table of values, what syntaxe for the function IF?

Hello,
In Microsoft Word 2003, I have created a Word Table, filled with values on
which I perform calculations using the Word formulas and Word functions Sum,
Int, If etc. But what is the syntax for the function IF? For instance,
=IF(a1=1,5,0) doesn't seem to be working work?

I found the reply already... a1 should be a number like 1 instead of 100%
where % is a character in my case... a stupid error good to be known!
