improve large avi file?

Need a fast server with high speed connection to the Internet and all user need to have a high speed
connection or you have to make the file smaller or locate a service that provide streaming media.

Larry,
AVI's are pretty big, but you could convert them into a different
media type that has compression such as a Windows Media file or a RealVideo
file. Both RealNetworks and Microsoft offer free utilities (encoders) to do
just this. In some cases you can end up with a dramatically smaller file
that the browser can also stream better as well. The Microsoft Windows Media
encoder is at:

I downloaded the encoder and am going to attempt to convert-should i
choose File Dowload, or Web Server (Progressive) for my output?
