Impossible to get help!

J

JohnDB

I have been zapped twice now with automatic VISTA software updates from
Microsoft!
I've tried all the trouble shooting steps to no avail.
I attempting to get technical help from Microsoft I go from window to window
with a great deal of time wasted and can never get a number/name/contact
point.
I hope that this will get to someone who cares enough to help fix my problem.

PS: I hope that I have stopped the automatic Microsoft updates. They are
wiping me out!

This is a public newsgroup which isn't monitored by Microsoft, so the
chances of Microsoft actually reading your post is rather slim.
Perhaps if you outlined more fully your problem(s) someone could advise you
accordingly.
As for stopping the automatic updates you can only do this by turning auto
updates off. If you have done that via windows updates in control panel
(change settings>never check for updates|) the you won't be trouble by
updates again. If you haven't hen updates will continue.
