Importing Woes

Hello!

I have been having some big problems with a FrontPage web
recently. At the prompting of my web host I have now:

1) Organized the site into sub-webs with no sub-web
exceeding 30 mb in size (the total site is aroubd 50 mb).
2) I do live editing (ie. the web is "live" withmy host),
but recently, when trying to import new pages, the import
process hangs and FP crashes.

It seems to me to be software related because I have had
an associate upload files for me on another machine.
Other than the typical "clean out the directory and
reinstall extensions" ideas, does anyone have any
suggestions?

Are you using Publish or Import?

I am using "import" to bring in some pages that I created
using the "save a web page" function in excel.

We used to go "save as webpage" directly to the host but
they indicated to us that doing that would potential
corrupt our extensions.

I believe you should import the Excel into your local copy then Publish to your online web. Saving as webpage To online sounds ominous...I wouldn't doo that.

The gurus will correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Are the file sizes over 1 MB, if so this is a know issue, you need to use FTP to upload files of
this size.

Is that limit something recent? (I have no patches installed on fp2002) and never seemed to have a limit...unless I nver noticed it!

Yes, it is recent and we are not sure what IE or Windows update created the problem.
