importing vs copy

Hi folks;
Is there any harm if you copy text or images from one
location and simply paste into FP...... or is it best to
import? and why?

Text, you can paste, but you might want to paste into Notepad first to
remove all format contained.

Images, should be imported prior to using, so that FP will does not prompt
you to save them, thereby FP will not adjust the quality of the images.
