importing video

I am trying to convertmy wedding pictures (vhs)using ati
all in wonder. I recorded it from the video as mpeg2.
mwmm2 needs a codec in order to import it. (1) where do I
find this codec (2) should I want to remember my wedding?

Karl,

Check the Analog Video Capture > ATI page of my site, along with the
Importing Source Files > Video > MPEG2 page.

MM2 doesn't work well with MPEG2 files, so you'll need to convert them into
AVI files before importing, or use Movie Maker to save them as DV-AVI or WMV
if you can get them onto the timeline.

It's a codec issue and MM2 doesn't get such codecs automatically.
