I am utilizing Word 2002. How do I import the styles and formatting from a
document and override all styles and formatting in the current document?

Hi SMH

Use the Organizer. Tools > Templates and Add-ins. Click Organizer.
Information about the open document will appear on the left. Use the
right-hand pane to open the document from which you want to copy the styles.
However, this system is not perfect. In particular, copy all styles 3 times,
because bulleted and numbered styles don't always copy properly the first
two times.

Hope this helps.

Much the easiest way is to save the first document as a template, create a
new document based on that template, and insert the other document.
