Importing PST Modifies Calendar Items

Outlook 2003; Windows Media Center Edition v. 2002 (SP2)

I had to reformat my hard drive and prior to doing this I exported my
Outlook items as a PST file. After my hard drive was cleaned and Office 2003
was reinstalled I imported the PST file back into Outlook 2003. However when
I did this all of my calendar appointments have additional days added to
them. For example, a 1 day appointment is now a 2 day appointment. A 2-day
event is now a 4-day event.

Any thoughts on how I can rectify this without editing each appointment?

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

Never export to or import from a PST. It's unnecessary and you lose data.
Not a day goes by without that advice being posted in these Outlook
newsgroups.

Try reusing the original PST but adding it to the profile in Control Panel's
Mail applet and then making it the delivery location. Forget the one you
imported.

Sounds like you have a time zone or DST setting mismatch between Windows and
Outlook's calendar or between the old installation and the new.
