No. And do NOT use the import/export function to transfer data from outlook
to outlook in whatever versions you may have. this advice is posted on the
Outlook groups at least once a day....
You will have to create a new PST file in 97-2002 format, copy all your data
to it. then in outlook 2003 do File-open-Outlook data file.
I have 2 .pst files showing in my documents. One is Gail 288KB and the other
is Outlook 830,257KB. I'm sure they came when my hard drive crashed in XP
and almost everything was saved by a computer guy to an external hard drive
and then loaded on to my new computer which has Windows Vista with Outlook
2007. It says I can open them in Word but Word says it can't open it. What
do I do with these? Thanks.

Pst-files cannot be opened in Word; only in Outlook.
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
