Importing pst files from the Outlook to Windows Mail

Hi,
I need to import my mail files from outlook to windows mail.
Both applications are installed on my machine.
But it does not work.
Any idea?

Also, what is the file type for windows mail?

Is Outlook using the PST file you wish to import* into Windows Mail?

Windows Mail messages are EML files.

What happens? Is Outlook closed?

What steps are you taking?
