Importing old pst files to use with email accounts

I am trying to figure out the best way to accomplish this. My old computer
died, and I wanted to load in my outlook files like I previously had them. I
have about 7 different email accounts and PST files.
What I tried to do was add a email account and then add all of the old pst
files. Unfortunately I now have like 14 different pst files. What is the best
way to add my email accounts and have them link to the appropriate pst files?

Posted here daily. You never import PST files. You open them.
Hard to imagine a need for so many PST files.

PSTs don't "link" to accounts. If you use POP accounts, all of them will
use the same Inbox, unless you have Outlook 2007. With that version you can
specify a different Inbox for each account.

Sorry, I am using Outlook 2007 and IMAP for my email accounts. As I
mentioned, I have 7 email accounts which all had their own pst files. I am
trying to figure out the best way to open these and have the mail working
properly. I can open the pst, but I dont have the email accounts in the
emails section. That's the problem I am having.

If you are using IMAP then you don't need ANY pst files - just re-create
each account and it will synchronise to the IMAP server.....

With IMAP accounts, Outlook completely manages the local cache. You don't
add or remove PSTs independently of the accounts. What happens when you add
the IMAP accounts to Outlook?
