Robin

I am having trouble importing my Outlook Express emails
from my old PC to my new PC.
My old PC had Windows ME and my new PC has Windows XP
(home version)

I saved the Outlook Express emails on my old PC to a CD
but I am unable to import them from the CD onto my new PC.

PLEASE HELP!
Thanks!

Robin,

As long as you copied the actual email files from the
stored folder, do this...

In OE, go to tools > options > maintenence.
Click on Store Folder to find out where OE keeps all of
your messages. Then just paste the messages from the CD
into the Store Folder. This worked for me.

Good luck!

Go to www.oehelp.com/OEBackup/Default.aspx and get OEBACKUP. Run it on the
old PC to create a backup of files and registry configurations. Then
transfer these to the new PC and import them. It worked like a charm for me
when I just did my upgrade.

Also once the files are transferred from the CD make sure the file
attributes are not set as read only.
