Importing Messages and Folders

I have been having issues with Vista. I had to do a complete system restore
and lost my Outlook 2007. I saved the folders and messages onto a USB flash
drive but have been unable to figure out how to import them back into Outlook
2007. I had no trouble with my address book.

Any suggestions? Please .. I don't have much hair left to pull out ......

Presumably you saved a copy of your pst file onto the flash drive?
Then do NOT use the import function. Why?

Importing an entire PST may well corrupt your profile and may create a ghost
PST that you can't close. Importing PST's will lose:
1. Custom Forms
2. Custom Views
3. Connections between contacts and activities
4. Received dates on mail
5. Birthdays and anniversaries in calendar
6. Journal connections
7. Distribution Lists

Opening a PST file will preserve all of these. That is why we do not advise
people to import a native file into Outlook.

Copy the pst file to your HDD, do NOT overwrite any existing file as this
may corrupt your Outlook profile. Then you can do one of two options. You
can open the file in Outlook (File-Open-Outlook Data File) and either copy
the data into the new pst file, or, if you have lots of data, just set the
old file as the default delivery location.

I wonder what address book, as the outlook address book is simply another
view of the Contacts folder, which is contained within the outlook data
file.
