Importing / Linking Tables

I am using XP Pro, Access 2002. I am trying to link a Fox
Pro database file with the file extension of .AVL.
This .AVL file is used by another program, so we need to
keep the extension. This all worked fin using Access '97,
but the Fox Pro on the Access 2002 does not seem to be
able to read the file.

I have a similar problem. I can't import .dbf files into
Access 2002 that were created with Fox Pro. I used to be
able to do it with Windows 98 and Access 2000.
