Importing from Microsoft Mail V6 to Microsoft Mail V6

Had to do a rescue job on Vista. When the installation completed it created
a Windows.old area that had all my old settings and e-mail, etc.

"new" Windows created new, fresh e-mail.....new account. When I tried to
import messages, it gave the Outlook, Outlook Express, and Mail 7 options as
the type to transfer from. I tried the Mail 7, but got "no message found in
folder" for the folder(s) that I tried to import from.

Was going to do a simple copy/paste, but Vista has hidden the
User/Local/Appdata stuff so well, I can't find the right combination of
properties buttons to make those folders "visible".

Any suggestions on how to get my Mail back????

Thanks.....

Whenever I set up a new copy of Windows, one of the first things I do
is unhide file extensions and unhide hidden files.
In Control Panel (Classic View) open Folder Options, click View,
select "Show hidden files and folders."
Also uncheck "Hide extensions..."

Navigate to \Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders\
where you should see the folders that have your emails. You should be able to
point WM to that import location.
