importing excel spreedsheets

Hi,

Thanks one and all for your input. I recreated all the field names in a new
spreadsheet then cut and paste the data from the problem execel sheet.
Access accepted the field names but bulked on the data it seem like it is
having a problem because of duplicate entrys. I am getting a message with
indexing to many fields but it imported.

Any input about getting this indexing to many field names?
 
Not sure what you mean but Access "automatically" indexes fields if they
have certain values in their name like:
ID;key;code;num

Check Tools, Options, Tables/Queries
AutoIndex on Import/Create:
