Importing excel hyperlinks into Access

Todays the day

I can import an excel spreadsheet just fine into Access,
but the hyperlinks do not come across. Even if I make
sure the Access table field is a hyperlink property, the
data from Excel comes across into Access "looking" like it
is a hyperlink, but when I go to edit the Access
hyperlink, it does not show the url. Does anybody know
what I am doing wrong; any help would be appreciated.
