Importing Excel--Changing Field Names

I'm importing some excel spreadsheets into Access 2002. The first row of
data contains contains column headings, and I'm importing into a new table.
The import spreadsheet wizard apparently gives me the option of changing the
field names (which default to column headings) in my new table, but I can
only change the name of the first field (column). When I highlight on later
columns, the only field name I can change remains the first one.

Do you have MS Office XP SP-3 installed? If so, the problem was caused by
Office XP SP-3. There's an Office XP post-Service Pack 3 hotfix available,
but you'll have to contact Microsoft's Product Support Services to get it.
