Importing from Excel problems

I'm importing from Excel files, and strangest thing keeps happening...

Each of my Excel files has the same exact first row (the column headings
used for the field names in Access). I know this because I cut and
pasted each one from one original file. As I'm importing each of these
files, I eventually get to one where, upon designating that the first
row contains column headings, I'm told that "The first row contains some
data that can't be used for valid Access field names. In these cases,
the wizard will automatically assign valid field names." Huh? There is
absolutely no difference between this row and the other ones which
received the same paste. I'm boggled...any ideas why this could be
happening?

Thanks,
Aaron

I found the problem...some tables had many extra columns to the right of
my data. Once I cut and pasted the data to a new table, everything was
fine.
