importing contacts

All of my contacts and calendar were saved as
a .CVS file. I tried to import and was unsucessful?
Should I rename the file? If so, to what?
Or is there another preferred method?

What happened when you tried it? What version of Outlook?

It said the import was unsuccessful and I am using Outlook
2000.

Details? What was unsuccesful about it? If you're using a .csv file format
for the data, contacts and calendar need to be in their own separate files,
not combined into one.
