Importing Contacts Does Not Use Defined Custom Form in Outlook 2007

In Outlook 2007 (connected to Exchange 2003), I have created a custom form
for contacts. I have set the "When Posting to this folder" setting to use
the custom form I created, and hitting the New button starts up a new
contact using the custom form. However, if I go through Import / Export and
bring in contacts from an Excel file, they are created using Outlook's
default form (IPM.Contact). I checked to make sure the Excel file had no
reference to a form type for each record... just basic name, address and
phone info. So how can I make the Import procedure post using the custom
form? Thanks for any advice!

Outlook does not support importing to a custom form, nor importing custom
fields. You would need to write your own import code or use a third-party
