Hello all. I have FrontPage 98. My laptop crashed, so I imported my web
pages to my local computer so I can continue editing my site. However, I
lost my shared bottom borders??? Does anyone know how to restore them?

Thank you.

.
You must PUBLISH from the live site to your hard drive.
Import leaves many necessary files on the server as you
have found out. Select the Publish all files. You will see
some strange ones, but they are small and later Publishing
will ignore them.

Yes, don't Import pages, Publish the site to your local machine. Import only brings down what a browser will see, but not all that is needed.

You must Publish the Web and not import it to preserve the shared
borders.

Ok, thank you all for your answers!

I now am trying to Publish from my Comcast site to my hard drive and it
isn't working. I have FP98, does it normally work properly?

If Comcast is running the FP2002 extensions under Unix/Linux, then the FP 98 Client application is
no longer supported, you have to use FP2000 or higher.
