I recently purchased a new Compaq Presario that has Windows XP installed on
it. My old Compaq Presario had Windows 98 on it. I'm wanting to know how I
can import my bookmarks (favorites) from the old computer to the new one. Or
is that NOT possible?
Thanks!

On the old machine, open IE and go to File-Import and Export-Export
Favorites. Save the file to a floppy. On the new machine, do the reverse!

I did that before and it didn't work! Someone told me that XP won't import
files that were on 98. Who knows!?!?! Thanks for your suggestion..but "been
there, done that!" lol

Hi,

No reason it should not work. Just make sure you export as a .htm file.

It should, but I've seen people accidentally change it before.
