Importing Birthday in Calendar

R

Raj

I want to import the Birthdays for all employees of my company in Outlook
Calender. I am able to add new "Holidays" by editing the file "OUTLOOK.HOL"
located in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033".

But when i Import the file outlook.hol, it shows the Birthdays in place, but
with a Category as "Holiday".

So i want to import the birthday for multiple users on Multiple machines
with a category of "Birthday"

Holiday file events are always given the Holiday category when you add them
using Add Holidays. Create a CSV file with the columns "Subject", "Start
Date", "Start TIme", "End Date", "End Time", "All day event", "Reminder
on/off", and "Categories". Put your person's name or the person's name
followed by "Birthday" in the "Subject" column. Put the person's birthday in
MM/DD/YYYY format in the "Start Date" column. Put "12:00:00 AM" in the "Start
Time" and "End Time" columns. Put the day after the birthday in the "End
Date" column. Put "FALSE" in the "Reminder on/off" column. Put "TRUE" in the
"All day event" column. Put "Birthday" in the "Categories" column. Duplicate
each entry, adding one to the two date columns, for each year you want the
birthdays to appear, because you cannot create recurring events with an
import. (N.B. Don't include the quotes in the column headers or row
entries.)

Once you have your file built, use Outlook's File>Import and Export>Import
from another program or file wizard to import the CSV file.
