importing audio

I am creating a slideshow(all still pictures). When trying to import music
from a CD, Ipod,
or Itunes library, I keep getting message that says, "cannot import -
invalid file type.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP???????

FWIW...if your RIP your CD with .wmv as
the target format you should be able to
import the .wmv files into Movie Maker.

Sorry...the target format when ripping your
CD should be .wma...instead of .wmv which
is a video format.

I had the songs in my CD copied to my computer. I'm creating my slideshow (all pictures).When trying to import music from what I copied into my media player, I keep getting messages that says "cannot be import-
invalid file type." PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME.

Are these files in the .wma format?

BTW...PhotoStotry 3 may be a better choice
of software for working with still pictures:

OK, I am trying to import three songs from Itunes (that I purchased from the
Itunes store) to a movie I am making in Movie Maker. I have been trying the
solutions listed here and just am not getting it. My three songs are in mp4
format which I know is the problem. I backed them up to a disc from Itunes
and attempted to rip them back to my computer but Windows Media Player cannot
play the CD because it does not support mp4. I am stuck. Help!
