Importing an Excel spreadsheet into Word

I have imported an Excel spreadsheet into Word. I'd like it not to print the
grid lines, so that one could not tell it is an imported spreadsheet. Is it
possible to have the grid lines not print?
When I set up the spreadsheet in Excel, I indicated that the text should
wrap in the cell. However, while it worked in Excel, when I tried to do this
in Word, the wrapping function didn't work. Anything to do?
Finally, although it is late now, it would have been convenient to have
just used a table in Word and added some simple addition functions. However,
it seemed that they don't automatically update, and since this is a
complicated document, I decided to import the Excel table. Am I
underestimating the calculation features in Word?
Thanks.

Hmm, dunno what difference that makes, since you can add borders to any
"table" be it in Word or Excel. It's Excel that decides how an imported
sheet (how exactly did you import it, and version of Office?) is
printed, this applies to gridlines as well.

Not the calculation features, but the updating features. :)

So, whenever you can, do it in Excel, yes.
