Importing a CSV contact list.

B

Baha

1) I moved to a new computer using Outlook 2003. I opened my .PST file just
fine but no contacts were in it. Are they supposed to be part of the .PST
file?

2) I tried to import my contacts from a .CSV into the contats folder, BUT
is till can not see them. What is the correct process to import the contacts?

Thanks for you help

Contacts are stored with all the rest of your Outlook data in the PST file.
There is never any reason to export Contact data to some other format with
the expectation that you will then import them back into Outlook format. You
will lose data that way.
Methods for transferring Outlook data are posted here daily. Read them. Tell
us what you did instead.
Did you open the correct PST file in the correct view? Convince us you did.

They are. They're in the Contacts folder. If you simply opened the existing
PST, then they must be there if they were there when you opened in the prior
version.

Where are you looking? Are you looking in the "Contacts" folder or the
"Address Book"?
