Imported messages full of HTML tags

We've just moved to Outlook 2002 from Eudora 6, and imported large numbers of
folders from the latter.

Unfortunately, the text of all the imported messages is full of HTML tags,
whch makes them difficult to read.

I believe I've gone through every obvious place in Outlook (though not too
familiar with it yet) trying to "un-display" these, but no luck.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

What you are observing is the result of Eudora's poor handling of HTML
and has nothing to do with Outlook. Unfortunately, I know of no way of
"fixing" the messages except editing each one in a text editor to
delete the HTML tags.

Eudora's problems with HTML is also the reason that I moved from
Eudora to Outlook several years ago.

You might have more luck with our Aid4Mail software. It generally does
a much better job of importing Eudora mail into MS Outlook, including
poorly formed HTML messages. Also, unlike MS Outlook, Aid4Mail manages
to correctly import most embedded contents like pictures and background
images. If you're interested, you'll find more information about
Aid4Mail and a download link on our Web site at:
