IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT NEW MICROSOFT UPGRADES:

Message from media website:

Windows Media files will NOT work if you upgrade to both Windows Media
Player 11 and Internet Explorer 7. Please do not upgrade both programs
together. When you attempt to view a DRM protected Windows Media movie with
WMP 11, an error comes up asking you to turn your cookies on, even though
they are on. We have not discovered a fix for this Microsoft bug. As soon as
we do we will let everyone know.

You have no choice to NOT upgrade to those as they are both part of Vista.
Also they are NOT upgrades if you use Vista.
You have no choice/say in installing WMP11 or IE7.
There is no IE7 that you "upgrade"to.
In XP yes, same goes for IE7.

Point 1. Windows Vista has IE7 that is different from the IE7 that is
downloadable for XP.
Point 2.You cannot download/install IE7 as it is NOT for use in Vista
Point 3.WMP11 was intended to be part of Vista and Microsoft released it for
XP.
Point 4.Vista has WMP11 built in.
Point 5. You cannot download/install/upgrade to WMP11 if using Vista as it
is built in.
You will not see WMP11 or IE7 anywhere as an"upgrade"for what is built in to
Vista.

1.You cannot download/install/upgrade WMP11 or IE7 because they are built
into Vista.
2.WMP11 and IE7 were going to be and are parts of Vista.
3. Microsoft released both programs for installing into XP as well.
4. There is nowhere you can download IE7 and WMP11 for"upgrading"for Vista.

I do not know about WMP videos but WMA audio files from Napster to go work
just fine in XP

Is there a change of telling/hinting at just what those differences are?

There are a LOT of very upset IE users that have upgraded to IE7 and are
disappointed. Is there a 'carrot' that could be dangled in front of
them? ;)

Like I told him, you do not and cannot upgrade because Vista already has
them built in.
