Importance: High alert

I am using Outlook 2003 and want to turn off the alert that comes through
with only emails that are set to Importance: High.

Thanks.
 
If you mean you are receiving emails that were selected to have high
importance, you can't "turn that off" -- that is determined by the sender.
But you can make it disappear from your Inbox by changing the fields in your
Inbox to not include the Importance field.
 
You can downgrade mails sent with high importance to normal of low (my
choice :-D) by using a rule; Tools-> Rules and Alerts
