import of pst files

My pc died completely and I have no longer access to the hard disc. I
regularly eksport all mails to a pst file that I save on an external disc.
Now, trying to import my mails to the new pc I am receiving the message, that
my pst file is NOT a pst file.
Anybody knows about this ?

Make sure you copy that PST to the local drive and remove the read only
attribute.
