Import (Merge) New Field from Excel

Is it possible to import a new field from Excel (I have imported the contact
information before) to existing contacts in Outlook?
 
No, I have imported all of the contacts but not the extra field that was
added to the spreadsheet after the first import. I guess I fear that it will
overwrite any information that was changed (in outlook) after the first
import.
 
Yes, it will overwrite other data. Why not export the Outlook info again and
then add the new column to it? Your import should be fine then.
