IMPORT FOX TABLE TO ACCESS 2002

I have some old data from Fox tables that I would like to
import into an Access table. There are 490,000 records in
the Fox table but for some reason I cannot get it to
import. If I use ODBC to import the file I get an "ODBC
FAILED" error message. If I use Access to get the
information directly I get another error.

I have rebooted and tried but I still get the same error
messages.

I have imported another file of 465,000 files with no
problems, is it possible that I have reached the limits or
am I missing something?

For A2000 and later you use ODBC.
Lots of potential for error when doing so.
Do you have latest driver?
Did you set up connection right?

If this is just a 1 time transfer try using A97 to link and import the data.
This does not require ODBC.

Hi Bob,

Over the years the feature set of FoxPro tables has changed. Tables with
newer features can only be accessed via the latest FoxPro and Visual FoxPro
ODBC Driver, downloadable from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vfoxpro/downloads/updates/default.aspx, and tables
with features added in VFP7 and VFP8 can only be read via ADO.

Which ODBC driver are you using?

Cindy, thank you for the information. I was using the
ODBC version that is in my Access XP.

I was able to do a direct import from Fox to Access.
