import and export pst file missing in Office 2007

I use to update between my home and office computers' "outlook contact"
everyday by using the import and export pst file function under the "file"
column. In the new office 2007, I cannot find the import and export outlook
button in the "file" column, can some expert tell me how to resolve this
problem?

Try, File, Import and Export, Import from another program or file, and
pick personal folders file (pst). That is Outlook's file format.

I hope this helps.

in outlook go to tools -> customize -> commands
select file on the left, then on the right scroll to almost the bottom and
you will see 'import and export'
click and drag it to the file menu

Actually it's in the same place it always is.
You should not use it, however. There is never any reason to import a PST
file unless there is data you want to lose. You open a PST file.

I move the outlook.pst file from home to work to work at home, just did it
and when I pasted it into my work system it said something about being
corrupted and would not open outlook. Any thoughts???

You pasted it? Where? Overwriting a PST file is the easiest way there is to
corrupt it.
Never do it. Ever.

In addition to Russ's advice, never copy a PST while Outlook is open. That,
too, is a good way to corrupt the copy.

I've never been able to copy a PST file if Outlook is open. Have you?

Not with Windows Explorer, no, but I think some programs working a more of a
block-IO basis, like CD burning programs might appear to when they can't in
actuality.

When I attempt to import messages from a saved copy of the pst file - before
a severe crash - Outlook 2007 beta, which saved the file in the first place,
now tells me that the feature is not implemented. How can I implement it? I
need to regain some important messages!

Thanks ~

Tried it, didn't work. Finally found out that nothing works when logging is
turned on! Turned it off, imported my messages.

Thanks for your suggestion, though.

Interesting...
Why was logging even turned on in the first place?
