Import an identity to Windows mail

T

Tami

Hi!
I just purchased a new laptop and it came with Windows Vista. It seems like
Outlook Express doesn't exist any more and instead we have "Windows Mail".

I'm trying (without luck) to import my identity in Outlook Express from my
old computer to my new laptop so I can sell my old computer without loosing
my email.

The thing is "Windows Mail" doesn't allow me to import an identity... I
tried almost everthing and run out of ideas... Can anybody help me???

Thk!

ADDRESS BOOK/CONTACTS
1. Go to Outlook Express > File > Export > Address Book and select Comma
Separated Values (CSV) > Export, select the fields you want or, for more
safety, select all the fields and save it to an external device.
2. In Windows Mail go to File > Import > Windows Contacts, select CSV >
Import and browse to the file you exported from OE.

ACCOUNT DETAILS
1. Go to Outlook Express > Tools > Accounts > Mail Tab and select the first
one you want to export. Click on it and then press Export. Save it to an
external device. Repeat this procedure for any other e-mail accounts you want
to export to Windows Mail.
2. In Windows Mail, go to Tools > Accounts > Import > Browse to the location
of the file to be imported.

If you used Outlook Express on the old computer, see
