I have two different email addresses with my ISP, one for shopping etc. and
one for strictly personal use. With Outlook I'd go to change identity to
switch from on to the other. I set uo two accounts with Windows mail but cant
seem to get my second account when I try ti import it. I just got this laptop
and it came With Vista. Help!!!!!

Thanks

Mail in vista no longer has Identities. This was put in place for the pre-XP
days when several people shared computers but wanted to keep email seperate
from each others.

With the fact that Vista has user accounts...there is no longer a need for
identieies...the OS's user-logins keeps all that seperate, and it's actually
more secure. You can still get mail from two email addresses and keep them
seperate.

You said you've imported the information but it doesn't import...are you
SURE it's not importing? And can you elaborate what you mean by
"import"...is it not getting mail..you trying to import mail settings from
OE? By default any and all mail not defined by a rule will go directly into
the Inbox folder and the only way of identifying what went to who is looking
at the "to" field.

The thing to do is to set up your mail accounts and then create two folders
in your inbox...one for each email address...then when you go through your
email box, you can create a rule that will move all messages to one email
address in to one folder and one into another automatically.

How do you set up the folders and get the mail to go into each individual
folder?
